Universal Gear Operator Replacement (UGOR)
Patented · Made in Palm Harbor, FL
The UGOR

Our patented Universal Gear Operator Replacement is the flagship of the machine shop. It replaces any traditional gear operator with no modification to the existing structure — installed in an hour or less, with 36:1 or 62:1 gear reduction and a maintenance-free slew drive. Florida Power & Light standardized it through their safety group as the only approved operator for all switch installs and new station builds.

Custom fabrication
Broken or discontinued?
We make it.

If a part is obsolete, out of production, or simply broken, we fabricate it — reverse-engineered from a sample, a drawing, or a model number, machined to OEM specification, with material certification available on request. There’s no catalog to limit us. A parts supplier can only sell what’s already on its shelf; a machine shop can make the part you actually need — any manufacturer, any vintage, on catalog or off. No part number required, no minimums.

  • Any broken or OEM-discontinued component
  • Reverse-engineered from a sample, print, or model #
  • Machined to OEM spec, certs on request
  • Any manufacturer, any vintage
  • No catalog limits, no minimums

We can install
what we build.

A machine shop that can only hand you a box of parts leaves the hard part to you. Our field division installs and services what we manufacture — substation construction, scheduled maintenance, switch and transformer work, and emergency response across Florida and the Southeast. Need the part and the crew? That’s one call.
